
Introducing Surf Life Saving Queensland Education - Courses & Training
Surf Life Saving Queensland are proud to unveil Surf Life Saving Queensland Education – Courses and Training, formerly known as Australian Lifesaving Academy Queensland (ALAQ).
Surf Life Saving Queensland Education – Courses & Training is a registered training organisation (RTO provider number 2804) that delivers qualifications including emergency care training through first aid and CPR courses and the Cert IV in Training and Assessment to businesses, schools, organisations and the community.
After more than 18 years as ALAQ, the decision was made to rebrand to Surf Life Saving Queensland Education to accurately reflect what the highly experienced team deliver.
The team comprise of dedicated trainers who have years of experience in training for Surf Life Saving Queensland as both volunteer and commercial trainers. All First Aid and CPR trainers are volunteer surf lifesavers at Queensland surf lifesaving clubs.
Anthony Cassone, Surf Life Saving Queensland Education’s Commercial Training Manager, is excited by the new direction.
“Our name reflects what we do –we educate people on how they can save lives,” he said.
“All our trainers have been putting their skills and knowledge into practice on and away from the beach for decades and are truly passionate about educating others in what they can do in critical life-threatening situations.
“What is unique about our business, is that all profits are filtered back into Surf Life Saving Queensland’s 57 clubs. When learning with us, you help save lives.”
