Awards of Excellence is virtual in 2020

Surf Life Saving Queensland’s 2020 Awards of Excellence will be going virtual this year and extended over two action-packed nights.

The event will be streamed live through the SLSQ Facebook page at 7pm on Wednesday August 26 and Thursday August 27.

Membership Services Manager Jamie Findlay said the organisation is proud to bring this new format to life to recognise the efforts of our dedicated volunteers.

“Over two nights we will recognise the hard work and dedication of all our members both on the beach and in their communities, highlighting and paying tribute to those who go well above and beyond the call of duty.

“We will be entertained over the two nights with some familiar faces as the emcee, so keep an eye out.

“This is a great opportunity for us to come together, connect and recognise the efforts of our fellow members – although not physically we have adapted to our environment to deliver an event online.”
