Club Management

Use your financial skills to guide and advise your surf club as part of this key position.

The Club Treasurer is the chief financial management officer for the surf life saving club and is responsible for managing the club’s cash flow, preparing regular bank account reconciliations in conjunction with the club secretary and is responsible for the overall supervision of any financial commitments of the club committee/s.The Treasurer must also maintain an asset register,  ensure the club committee approves or ratifies all payments made and records details of these payments in the club minutes


Requirements

To become a Club Treasurer you must be:

  • a financial member of the surf life saving club
  • the holder of a current Blue Card
  • a minimum of 18 years of age

It is also desirable that you have an accounting/finance background.
