As a Club Captain you hold one of the most important positions within your club. You must earn the respect of members by your actions and lead your members with hard work and dedication to meet the demands of the position.

Your primary role shall be to assume responsibility for the management of patrol members and ensuring that all rosters meet patrol requirements during season. While one of the most challenging roles at a club level, it is also one of the most rewarding and satisfying.


Requirements

While specific requirements will vary from club to club, Club Captains must be:

  • a financial surf life saving club member
  • hold a current Blue Card
  • an experienced Patrol Captain, with two or more years in this role
  • hold a proficient Bronze Medallion
  • willing and able to commit the necessary hours each week, both before and during the patrol season, to ensure that all responsibilities are carried out and the club is run in a smooth and efficient manner.
