SLSQ CHILD PROTECTION STRATEGY
All of our volunteers and paid staff have Blue Cards or Exemption Notices. Why do we need a Risk Management Strategy as well?
SLSQ has developed a risk management strategy to protect children and youth. Does every surf club need one as well?
YOUTH INVOVLEMENT PROGRAM (YIPS)
Can a participant start at any level or must they begin at Bronze?
Do participant's points transfer to another club if they transfer membership to another club?
If a participant wishes to join the program and they have accumulated a number of awards and service prior to signing up to YIPs, can they backdate their points?
Is there a set timeframe that a YIPs level must be completed within?
What if a YIPs participant presents an activity to be scored that is not listed in the points system?
What if I have particpants on the old point score system? Can they transfer over to the new YIPs points system?
What if my club doesn't want to include members who are 18 years or over?
What is a significant community project that my participant can complete at Gold Level?
