Queensland Senior State Championships
Some of surf lifesaving’s greatest rivalries will be reignited next year when the state’s top surf sport athletes contest the 2013 Queensland Senior State Championships across three days from 22-24 March. As the pinnacle event on Surf Life Saving Queensland’s sporting calendar each year, the Championships will see more than 2,000 lifesavers from Port Douglas right through to Rainbow Bay hit the beach to battle the surf, sand and each other in their quest for state glory. Last year, Gold Coast powerhouse Northcliffe took the overall honours ahead of Sunshine Coast rival Mooloolaba and Kurrawa.
